Our story begins about 2 1/2 years ago. We met in September of 2001 in The Woodlands High School choir. We became friends instantly. When Jason graduated in May of 2002, we lost touch for a few months. A few months later, Valerie left the church she was attending for various reasons and began attending Spring Woodlands Church of Christ in January of 2003. Within a few weeks, and through the help of the Going Deeper Bible study Sunday nights at Starbucks, we reconnected and began spending a lot of time talking and spending time together. We had our first date on March 28, 2003. We continued to go out on dates every weekend, and talk everyday for hours. We didn't admit that we were dating to anyone though until one of the elders of our church asked at a Sunrise service for Easter Sunday almost a month later. In April, we went to New York together with TWHS choir where we spent the entire week together. On May 17, Jason took Valerie to her Senior Prom. By the summer, we were completely inseparable.
The last few weeks of September started to get a little bit chaotic. We talked to both of our parents and shared with them that we wanted to get married. The last weekend in September, we went to The Woodlands Mall and picked out our rings. On October 1st, Jason took Valerie to Southshore Park. This park had become a special place to us while we were dating because we could walk around the park together and talk forever. This park had a tower style gazebo that overlooks Lake Woodlands. We began our normal walk up to the tower, and when we arrived at the top we sat down on a bench and began talking. A few minutes later, Jason got down on one knee and proposed.
The past few months have included a few trips (a Caribbean cruise with Valerie's family, and a trip to Florida to meet her family) and a lot of planning to get us to where we are now. We've had some amazing experiences together and have a lifetime of them left.

About Jason
Jason was born on September 18, 1983 in Conroe, Tx to Cyndie and David Lowry. Through the years, he's aquired a few brothers (Jacob and Jay). As a child, Jason hated dirt and anything sticky. According to his early childhood teachers, he would never finger paint or do anything else to get himself dirty. He played the Clarinet in 5th and 6th grade in the Wilkerson Intermediate School Band. After that, he decided that he preferred choir and that the Clarinet isn't where his talent was anyway. Through many years of preperation, Jason finally acheived his Eagle Scout his senior year of high school. While in High School, he became very interested in Web Design and has chosen that as his career path. He is currently a student at Montgomery College and has been an employee of Everyone's Internet (Just 10 bucks a month) for the past 2 years.

About Valerie
Valerie was born on July 12, 1985 in Brandon, Florida to Jane and Doug Paul. In 1997, she aquired a 5 year old sister, Amanda. Her freshmen year of high school, she moved to Texas. In 2001 her mother got remarried to Dave Johnston. Christmas of 2002, her father got remarried to Merrie Cain (now Merrie Paul). In the midst of remarriages, she gained 2 brothers (Matt and Ben). In elementary school, Valerie was in the Dover Singing Dragons choir and various dance classes. In Middle school, she too played the Clarinet. After 9th grade, she decided that she enjoyed choir more as well. Through various knee surgeries due to Dance and just generally being a klutz, Valerie found herself in Physical Therapy, which is the career path she has chosen to follow. She currently runs an afterschool program, teaches a class full of 2 yr olds, and attends school at Montgomery College.
